Meadow Barns Wedding, Stratford upon Avon

We took JRQ Media Weddings on tour for Josh and Louise’s wedding in Statford Upon Avon, this is a perk of being a wedding photography couple! We visited Shakespeares house, ate fish and chips by the riverside, went on a 250 ft tall ferris wheel and got rained on. How very British! One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is going up and down the country visiting so many beautiful locations and venues, it’s easy to forget how many outstanding places our small island has to offer.

Anyway, that’s enough about us! Let’s move onto another of our amazing couples wedding day! Louise and Josh are getting married at The Meadow Barns, part of Stratford park hotel and golf resort. We began the morning by meeting up with Louise, her mum and maid of honour. They sipped on prosecco as they calmly got ready for the day, there was such a lovely atmosphere and everyone was so laid back- the perfect sign that they are ready for the day to come!

Capturing details as we go through the day is a great way of tying up your story, the flowers, the dress, the perfume, the rings. They are all key parts of the day and being able to look back on some of the smaller details really helps piece your story together to look back on for years and years to come!

Josh enjoyed a peaceful morning with his groomsmen, they all got ready together in one of the on-site hotel rooms. The groom and groomsmen enjoyed a few drinks whilst getting into their suits.

We love this sequence of Louise towards the end of her getting ready. A quiet moment between herself and her mother. We felt like we were in Mamma Mia, about to sing slipping through my fingers! What a beautiful memory to look back on. We then got to capture this beautiful moment between Louise and her dad as he got to see her in her dress for the first time.

Josh and his Groomsmen just a few moments before the ceremony, enjoying a laugh before they all readied themselves for the ceremony. We love a groomsmen shot and those suits- amazing!

All heads turned as Louise made an elegant entrance, walking along the balcony before walking down the beautiful spiral staircase. Loving gasps echoed around the room and people searched their pockets for a tissue as this magical moment unfolded. You can see in Josh’s eyes, this is the moment he’s been waiting for.

The stunning meadow barn offered such a cosy and romantic setting as Josh and Louise completed their vows. The rustic setting, high ceilings and heaps of natural light made it a dream location for us to work at! We also had Timmy the shihtzu as official Dog of Honour!

Who doesn’t love a first kiss moment?

You can never have enough confetti, so here is a free tip for you! However much confetti you think you need, double it. Or even triple it! You will not regret it!

One big celebration! This is what it is all about, all of your nearest and dearest coming together to celebrate and cheer this big occasion.

The Meadow Barns has no end of photo spots and the courtyard in front of the barn was one of our favourites. One thing we try to stray away from is posing our couples. We try and keep things as natural and unposed as they can be, offering occasional pointers to get the most out of their wedding photos but never forcing something unnatural!

Magnificent florals! All of the flowers decorating this spectacular barn were grown on site by the amazing team behind The Meadow Barns at Stratford Park Hotel! They really pull the room together and created such a simple yet beautiful display for the couple and their guests to enjoy!

The grand entrance, we just love this shot! Look. how happy they are! The cheering and clapping was very loud this day!

And now the speeches, well we must admit the room was very emotional! We may have had a tear or two ourselves. There was so much love in this room and for Josh and Louise this was a real fairytale day. No body could argue that this couple was anything other than meant to be.

With guests enjoying each others company and sharing a drink or two together, we took Louise and Josh away for a little walk around the grounds. There were no end of options and we even made use of the golf buggies to get us around! We however now expect all venues to supply a golf buggy, especially the really really fast ones!

This set of black and whites is one of our favourites and you just tell how relaxed and natural they are in these moments!

With all of the family and wedding party standing near by we had to pull them in for some shots, we just love how these turned out! There were so many giggles and laughs! We love it when things just click naturally!

Cake. Do we need to say anymore than that? We’d been staring at that cake all day! Look how amazing that looks! The setting for the cake cut was a dream! That spiral staircase and warm brick backdrop, a photographers dream. The Meadow Barns really have a winner of a venue!

Lets dance, our time at Louise and Josh’s wedding was drawing to a close as we captured their wonderful and choreographed first dance. There were spins, swooshes whoops and cheers before this amazing Bride and Groom invited everyone onto the dance-floor to share this special moment with them.

Just before our coverage ended for the night we grabbed a selfie and also a pizza! I believe we did around 15,000 steps that day and a freshly made stonebaked pizza was exactly what the doctor ordered! We had an absolute blast photographing this wedding day and we would like to thank Josh and Louise for having us there to capture their day!
