IT’S CHRISTMASSSS!

Another year has come and gone, and what a year it has been. We have laughed, cried, smiled, ate too much food and taken thousands upon thousands of photos. We would not change a single thing from 2022 (apart from spending the jubilee bank holiday weekend in bed with Covid). After all the disappointment of 2020 and 2021 with cancellations galore, restrictions on restrictions and Boris Johnson on the tele breakfast, lunch and dinner; 2022 really did come back with a bang. We had weddings of 150 guests, dance floors full of dancing, rows of smiling friends and family, glorious self serve hog roasts and not a single couple having to push their date back because of Covid!

We will be joining all of our 2023 couples in the excitement next year as the team behind JRQ Media Weddings are tying the knot! In October 2023, JRQ Media Weddings will become a family business. As a result, we are running a slightly limited booking calendar, so make sure you book in our remaining dates for your 2023 wedding!

We have had the best year and if our calculations are correct, we have taken just over 100,000 photos throughout the year! Wow, no wonder my finger has grown a bicep. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our amazing couples of 2022, it truly has been a magical year and we have been so blessed to be part of so many beautiful wedding days.

We’re going to go a little quieter over the next few weeks as we eat far too many roast potatoes and bake more sweet treats than we could possibly dream of! We will still be around to answer enquires and we will still be around to schedule a call to discuss a wedding day, but please be patient as we may not be as quick as replying as usual over the holiday break.

We will also be posting on our social media channels some out of season packages such as family shoots and mini couples sessions, so be sure to keep an eye out for those!

Anyway, that is all the notes I have! Now back to the fun stuff from 2022!

Look at all of these fabulous people! We tried to remember to get a selfie with all of our awesome couples but we kept on forgetting. So we can only apologies to those who are missing! But we are going to share some of our favourite photos from the year. We have more couples blogs coming in the near year, but in the meantime please sit back and enjoy scrolling through out best of 2022.

There are so many highlights from our wedding year, from winning ‘Best Wedding Photographers’ West Midlands in the Hitched 2022 wedding awards to photographing a record number of weddings in a year for us! We have seen some of the most beautiful weddings, been to some absolutely stunning wedding venues all around the UK and worked with some of the best wedding suppliers in the industry! The only downside is my taste in shirts, for which I can only apologies for! We’ve been in some wacky positions to get the best shots, split a pair of trousers, got soaked in the rain (worth it), laid out many wedding dress trains, straightened a few ties and pinned on numerous boutonnières for our confused grooms! We’ve seen friends and family travel half way around the world to celebrate a loved ones wedding, listened to some of the most hilarious speeches, witnessed some wardrobe malfunctions, welled up as couples say their vows and more importantly we have captured moments that are going to be looked back on for lifetimes to come. Our modern, natural and simple approach has been a hit as we document your day with as little staging and posing as possible. So remember, if you would like your wedding day captured in timeless fashion then we are the wedding photographers for you! Now booking 2023, 2024 and 2025!

So, to all of our AMAZING Brides and Grooms of 2022, we really do wish you a very merry first Christmas and a Happy new year as newly weds. And to all of our Brides and Grooms of 2023 (myself included) WOHOOO, what a year 2023 is going to be!
